When the territory now known as Texas was part of the Spanish empire, Spanish vaqueros developed the ranching industry in South Texas, including the various techniques and tools of the trade that came to be associated with the American cowboy. The cowboy hat, today a symbol of the cowboy is just one of those tools.
We worked with the premier maker of palm-leaf hats to develop the Jugador (as well as other styles). A large hat with a unique Gambler crease. 4" crown; a flat 5" brim with a pencil roll; a dark brown narrow grosgrain ribbon band.
